The AMS low angle diffuse ring light is designed for reliable detection of surface defects such as cracks, scratches and fissures, even on reflective or curved objects.

This version features a 4-segment configuration, allowing independent control of each segment. This enables variation in illumination direction and optimization of contrast for specific defects, depending on the geometry and orientation of the object.

The combination of low-angle illumination and diffuse light significantly reduces unwanted reflections, while enhancing the contrast of small surface irregularities. This makes the light particularly suitable for shiny and polished surfaces where standard lighting often fails due to reflections or halo effects.

The LED light is evenly distributed through a diffuser, ensuring uniform illumination of the object’s center.

The built-in iBlueDrive technology controller gives you the possibility to connect this light direct to the camera or triggersignal in continuous-, dim- or strobe mode, therefore there is no more need for an external controller.

The strobe mode factory preset is 47 pulses per second, this can be set to a maximum of 5000 pulses per second with a USB program cable (sold separately) and the iBueDrive control manager software. You can find more information about iBlueDrive technology here.
