On-Site 2D Machine Vision Application Training

On-Site 2D Machine Vision Application Training

During this two-day training course, up to two engineers work on a current inspection challenge from your company. We use one of your own products, for example for reading a barcode or DMC code, performing a presence/absence check or a similar 2D inspection.

Using your own samples, we cover the complete process: from defining the specifications and selecting the camera, lens and lighting to building and testing the machine vision application.

Practical information

  • Duration: two consecutive days

  • Location: at your site, in a suitable training room

  • Setup: a separate demonstration setup, outside the production machine

  • Participants: maximum of two engineers

  • Application: one 2D machine vision application

  • Product: one preselected product

  • Inspection: one predefined inspection task

  • Language: Dutch, German or English

  • Travel and accommodation costs: not included

What will we cover?

  • Defining the product specifications and inspection criteria

  • Determining the Field of View and required pixel resolution

  • Selecting the camera, lens and lighting

  • Building and configuring the demonstration setup

  • Obtaining a stable and repeatable image

  • Building the inspection in the selected machine vision software

  • Testing with good, rejected and borderline products

  • Evaluating and optimizing the results

Preparation

Before the training, we discuss your application during an online intake. You provide the available product specifications and representative good, rejected and borderline samples. Based on this information, we assess whether the application fits within the scope of the training and determine which hardware and software are required.

Good to know

The aim of the training is to teach your engineers how to build a 2D machine vision application, from specification through to testing. We use a separate demonstration setup in a suitable training room.

The training does not include work in or on the production machine. Complete machine integration, PLC programming, mechanical design, formal validation and delivery of a production-ready application are not included.

Additional engineering or testing can be offered separately if required.

Do it yourself. But not alone.
